Sprint Distance Event Information
Team Relay Option The Sprint Distance Triathlon will have a Team Relay race where three competitors (all 17 years old or over on 31st December 2012) take one of the disciplines each, tagging each other in transition.
All relay team tags will take place by the team’s bike racking position, inside the
transition area. The swimmer will finish their swim, make their way into transition
and then run to tag their team cyclist. The cyclist’s bike must stay racked until
the swimmer has tagged the cyclist. When the team cyclist finishes, he/she must re-
ParaTri Inclusive Wherever possible this will be an inclusive event for those with special needs. Upon receiving your entry form we will consider any impact your disability has on the event and advise accordingly.

750m Sea SwimThe swim takes place in the Sea off the coast of Bexhill-
20km Road CycleThe cycle is completed over 2 laps of a 10km course starting from the transition
area and following the coastal roads to the Cooden Beach Resort. Cyclist return along
the same route and cycle to the foot of Galley Hill before making a u-

Please note: If weather (or any other) conditions do not permit for competitors to enter the Sea on race day, the swim will be replaced by a 2.5Km run along the promenade. |
